ACT Test Camp at William Carey University – FREE

William Carey University will offer a free ACT camp June 3rd through June 6th at its Hattiesburg campus. The deadline to apply is April 10th.

The camp will help motivate high school students to raise their ACT scores and will provide test-taking strategy sessions, study materials and small group instruction.

Students who attend the camp will also receive college scholarship information and professional education information.

To qualify, students must be sophomores or juniors during the 2018-19 school year.

The camp will also be available to high school students who failed to receive high school diplomas due to subject area deficiency. These students must be within two years of their original graduation date and should demonstrate that they are serious about improving their scores.

Race of Discovery 5K Kids Fun Run – FREE

The Junior Auxiliary of Biloxi-Ocean Springs has partnered with the MS Gulf Coast YMCA and Let’s Go Gulf Coast!, to host a free community event to inspire more kids to keep their minds and bodies active at the annual YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day®, the Y’s national initiative to improve health and well-being for kids and families.

Join us for the 1699 Historical Society’s “Race of Discovery” 5K and FREE Kids Fun Run at Fort Maurepas Beach Park is Saturday, April 27th at 8:00am!

There is NO CHARGE for kids to compete in the one-mile Fun Run, and each child receives a free t-shirt & gym bag filled with healthy goodies!
